Santa Clara
originally started as a pioneer farming community. The easy access
to water via the Santa
Clara
River was the main draw
to the area.
The city of Santa
Clara is divided by a bluff. The lower part
of Santa Clara contains
the older homes, some very large newer homes, city offices and
shopping. On top of the bluff are dozens of subdivisions. The homes
date from the late 70’s to homes just completed. Many of the bluff
homes (Santa Clara
Heights) have incredible
views of the Red
Mountain.
The area could be considered family oriented, with a new
library, several schools, parks, a skate park and a new recreation
center.
