What The
Weathers Like
St. George is located within the northern extension of the
Mojave Desert. Its desert climate gives generally clear skies,
relatively mild winters and hot summers. We enjoy mild, low
humidity winters with over 300 sunny days per year. Its desert
climate, with an elevation of 2,880 feet, promotes year round
recreation and leisure activities, including ten championship
golf courses.
The
temperature varies from a low in January of 40.3 to 102 in
July. Summers feature high temperatures below 105 degrees and
cool nights dropping into the 70's, perfect for patio
lifestyles around the pool. Annual rainfall averages eight
inches a year, which is normally concentrated in the spring
and fall.

Here
St. George, is situated in the southwest corner of Utah.
It is Washington
county's largest city at over 50,000 residents. The
St. George/Washington County area is nestled in a picturesque
valley surrounded by impressive sandstone cliffs. The
breathtaking backdrop of blue skies along with clean air and a
friendly business environment attracts over two million
international visitors annually.
Washington County's total
population is approximately 100,000; it has been growing
around 3% per year. In
each of the last two decades, Washington County has
seen an 86% population increase. |

What community is complete without
shopping? St. George and Washington County have boundless
opportunities to participate in the pastime. It is a veritable
shopping Mecca!
The Red Cliffs Mall offers
air-conditioned shopping environment with anchor stores by
J C Penney, Sears, and
Dillard's plus 65 other stores and shops.
Zion
Factory Stores and Promenade at Red Cliffs Mallare both located just off I-15 and St.
George Blvd and offer national chains such as Polo/Ralph
Lauren, Coach, Dress Barn, and many others. Ancestor Square is
located in the St. George Historic District in downtown St.
George. Art/design shops, galleries and wonderful restaurants
such as the Painted Pony Southwest Grill and the Pasta &
Pizza Factory come together to create a signature St. George
shopping experience.
Best Buy, Bed, Bath, And Beyond,
Costco, Home Depot, Lowe's, Target, two Super Wal-Mart's, Pier
One,and
Michaels have all opened their doors in St. George and
Washington City in the past year or so.

Eat!
Café
Rio:
On St. George Blvd. Consistently wonderful
Tex-Mex style food. Always a long line, but well worth the
wait. If you don't have a frequent diners card you probably
aren't a local.
The Painted
Pony: Located in Ancestory
Square off of Main Street and St. George Blvd. Incredible
food, views, and ambiance. Very good & very
expensive. Dinner for two will run about $75 to $100 with tip.
Lunch prices are around $10/ plate.
Charmaines:
A wonderful “black tie style” restaurant in the Oasis
Casino (Mesquite). Expensive but perfect for very special
occasions.
Don Pedros:
Good to
great food. Some items are better than others, so try several
items and share them.This is a wonderful “date night” choice!

Pasta
Factory: In the Ancestor Square at
Main St. & St. George Blvd. Inexpensive, consistently tasty Italian
food. Indoor and outdoor seating.
Jazzy Java: Located 285 N. Bluff, this
little Mom & Pop Coffee shop has the very best hand built
sandwiches you have ever tasted. From the “Easy Rider” to the
“Beasty Boy” all the sandwiches are great. The coffee is the
best. Make sure and try the Iced Café Mocha, yumm!
