“How to create
a “model-home like setting”, so that your home sells fast,
for top dollar.”
|
Carpeting: Have a good carpet cleaner,
clean the carpets so that they look new. Make certain that the
carpet cleaner removes as much of the water as possible. I
personally recommend “Atlas Carpet Cleaning”, (435)
862-9553. They are miracle workers!
Packing:
Pack as much of your personal items as you
can. You are going to be
moving so you might as well pack now, rather than later. Clean
up and clear out. I recommend renting a
storage unit to store the extra boxes and unused
furniture.

Knick Knacks: In
all rooms remove personal photos, knick knacks and
heirlooms from all walls and tables and shelves. Try to
create a feeling of openness so as to allow the buyers to see
themselves living in the home. The Mesquite home had no
personal items showing...only decorative items carefully
placed here and there.
Closets:
Closets need to be cleaned up and cleared
out. If you are not going to use what is in the
closet over the next few weeks, box everything up and store
the boxes in your storage unit. This especially applies to
clothes. A less full closet will appear larger.
Consider lining up the clothes and shoes by type and size.
Impressions do count, and it is time to “wow” the
buyers.
The Garage:
In the garage, put all boxes and unused items in a
storage unit. Sweep and/or clean the garage floor and get
rid of cobwebs. |
